Hello,
Thanks for the response, I\'m glad to know its still available. I\'m willing to pay your asking price. I will likely make payment by Check as its the only way I can pay you at the moment as I\'m actually out of the State due to my post in the US NAVY. i will make arrangement for pick-up after payment has been received by you. I don\'t mind adding a little extra $30 so you can keep it in my favor.you |

I had a item for sale of generally low value on craigslist.org. This person replied to my ad via email response:
"Hi,
I'm interested in buying. If its still for sale, Please send me your email address or phone number because its hard to get through craigslist."
I responded with my phone number to show him the item. I immediately received an out-of-state cell phone text message from this person which contains some misspellings:
"I'm interested in buying. Your payment ll be mail once u text me your name and address. U'll get the Money Order in 5 days (plus $30 for keeping it in my favor). Arrangement for pick-up ll be received and cashed the payment. Awaiting your info. Bill"
Since this was an out-of-state phone number which showed up and sounded like a setup for identity theft, I immediately did a google.com search for the phone number only. This scamdex.com website showing this person's number and name was the second search results link which showed up.

Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell.
And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can.
So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we
hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
