For sale on Gumtree. I checked him online and saw the scam alerts so have tied him up with emails
for the past 2 hours. I have requested BPay from his Westpac to mine and given him a made up
BPay number. I think he has got the message and hope I've taken up enough of his time
to stop 1 more message to someone else. |

I have a boat advertised on boatsales.com.au, which has a contact messenger within it for people who are interested in my boat to contact me. Also my mobile phone number is on the advertisement. I get a text message from Lennon, (no mobile number came up) stating
'Is your boat still for sale and what's the lowest you can go on the price? reply me via my email
lenon9099@gmail.com
Thanks'
I do a check and sure enough it came up as a scam. I have not engaged the person.
Thanks

I checked his email address before I contacted him about a motorbike I had for sale. I didn't contact him as there were enough potential scammees who had had fun with him already. Unfortunately he seems to operating a numbers game - for every so many potential victims who rumble his scam there might be one or two who fall for it and send him their bank details.
For a motorbike or car let him come to you with cash or a bank cheque. Otherwise let the opportunity pass. Don't even waste time in engaging him with sarky emails, however funny they might be to read.
I want to sell my bike, not waste time with this scumbag.
Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell.
And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can.
So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we
hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
