You will be carrying the AT&T advert on your vehicle. text Robert for more info at 662-597-8221 So just to see if it was real I texted him from a throwaway number. I was then told to send an email to atpromo777@gmail.com and this is what came back: Thanks for the interest in the AT&T Ad. You will need to carry this advert on the exterior of your Car/Truck/Bike/SUV and you'll be compensated with $450 weekly which is essentially a "rental" payment for letting our company use the space. No fee is required from you, Our Company shall provide experts that would handle the advert placing on your car. The payment will be in form of check, it will be delivered to your address via USPS courier service. It is very easy and simple , no application fees required. Provide the information below, so the check will be sent out to you asap Full Name: Address (incl apt#): City: State: Zip Code Age: Cell number: Car maker/year: Kindly get back to us as soon with the information so the financier can issue out the check to you asap. The Vehicle will be wrapped at your location Note: Our Company will take full responsibility for placing and removing the decal on your car and it will not resort to any damage, It's a removable sticker Thanks And then THIS came in today: Attn, The Certified check of $1,950.48 which will cover your upfront weekly pay for $450 and additional funds for wrapping the decal on your vehicle has been sent to you via USPS with tracking number 9405501699320125417830 you track it at www.usps.com or www.iship.com/track as it will be delivered to your address tomorrow or next. When you receive the Check, kindly proceed to deposit the check payment into your bank account so the funds will be available to you within 24hrs after it has been deposited. Then you get back to me asap when the check is deposited in the bank for further instructions. I'll want you to let me know you got the email Thanks, Robert That's when I realized this was an advance Fee scam. Luckily I had enough brains ti use a throwaway text number and throwaway e-mail address This scam is running heavily in Houston on Craigslist using different companies such as Propel, AT&T and Nokia just to name a few. A new one today appeared for Monster Energy drinks, which I HAVE seen vehicles advertising Monster, but when I ran the phone number it popped up as a scam as well |
