I just got this email earlier and I'm pretty sure this is a scam.. I searched the email address on Google and found this article talking about a possible scam. I just wanted to let people know, especially ETSU students.
Here's the email I got:
Scam EmailHi There,
I am Wilson Avery., I got your email from East Tennessee State University Employment Outreach.
Your service as my Personal Assistant/Errands on a part time basis, Pay is Attractive, $400 weekly ($20,800) per Annual.
Please do send me a reply to this message if you would like to know more. Send an email to Melisa Wickwire at : melisawickwire38@outlook.com right away for more information about the position.

Posted an ad selling my laptop on gumtree and within about 10 mins got a message saying to email the address provided. Then went on to say that I'd have to post the item to them but they can't come inspect it due to them working as an oceanographer and is offshore atm. They said they have tried calling but have no network at the moment also which I found weird considering they had internet connection for emails and was able to swing a text message through in the first place. Very fishy don't get caught out. I didn't, it seemed a little too off to me so I did not give details. DO NOT GIVE YOUR DETAILS TO THIS PERSON!
