I had a car advertised on gumtree, and the Scammer said he was interested but workin on an oil rig so was unable to pick it up and pay personally. He then sent me an email claiming that he would pay me (via paypal) and sent me a fake paypal email claiming to give me an extra $950 to pay the the Pick up Agent (via Western Union), but the money wouldnt be transfered to me until they had recieved the MTCN. I thought the whole thing was a scam from the beginning simply because of odd wording and spelling mistakes, but as soon as i recieved the paypal email i knew it wasnt legit. apperently they use @mail2consultant addresses quite frequently and ask money to be sent via western union or other untracable money wire transfer companies. When the paypal email came through there was a second email displayed (onlineenquiries@mail2consultant.com ).
The address of the fake Pick Up Agent was,
Nathan Johnson
Address: 66 mitchell avenue,gravesend kent DA11 8AX
United Kingdom
Follow Ups/Extra Information. Most recent is listed first.
As per before, only this time he lowered his sights to a pram advertised on Quokka (www.quokka.com.au).

I have just made the payment now and i expect PayPal to have emailed you by now, check your PayPal email address if you have been messaged yet in the folders junk/spam, i sent $900 in all, i have decided to add the amount of $500 which i paid through PayPal, So you can now wire the sum of $450 to my agent's Headquarters in UK via western union where they confirm all commission payment so that they can be able to schedule a suitable pick up date and time immediately.
As said earlier in my previous email, the western union transfer can be done at the post office as their is a western union section in all post office and can also be done via the internet(www.westernunion.com) .I added extra $500 to cover the western union charges which shouldn't be more that $40-45 but just to be sure i added $50.
Here is my pick up agent Headquarter info needed to get the money sent through western union money transfer:
Name:Nathan Johnson Address:66 mitchell avenue,gravesend kent DA11 8AX United Kingdom
Note:PayPal won't release the funds until they get the western union information from you due to the fact that i emailed them about the excess payment i made. Please kindly email the necessary details to PayPal :the MTCN which you will be given at the western union after the $450 has been sent as well as the sender's name and address used to send the money through western union so they can take necessary steps. Await your response.

I just had the hairs in the back of my head come up too for this scam. I then googled and found this link which is identical. I thought the same about poor grammar and strange situation. Pay at the post office 750$ to some random Western Union place.
