I was looking for a house to rent in DALLAS TEXAS, found this ad on Craigslist, also on realtor.com I replied to the name from the add.. MARCIA BARBOUR.. And I received the following back in response... It just smelled of scam to me.. so I Google the numbers!!! THANK GOODNESS FOR THIS SITE!! Although I didnt scammed this time. IF I HAD not use google to research this,, I would have got scammed!.. And Im sorry for those of you who did... THIS PERSON NEEDS TO BE STOPPED! And ARRESTED! . Thats why Im adding to it.. This ad was MAy 12, 2013!

He used the real last name of the home owners but not the first name. He took photos that were listed on a real estate site here, the house is for sale but for much more money.

I responded to an ad on craigslist for a three bedroom house in Madison, WI for $600 a month. I got an email back from a Ramond Curley saying the address was 3929 Tulane Ave., and explaining that he got a promotion and suddenly moved to New York, so he couldn't show me the inside. I went to look at the outside and was interested. I texted him that I liked the look of the outside and would like to proceed. He then called and explained that he needed a deposit in a couple of days (I should western union wire his 'personal assistant' John Olu Isaac $600 and I would get a lease and a key in the mail. I asked him if the house was empty and ready to be moved into, and he said yes. This was odd in that on my inspection before I notice some furniture still in the house, a dog barking at me through the window, a car in the driveway, and two chickens in the coop in the backyard. I asked him why there was furniture in the house when he said it was empty, and I haven't gotten an answer.
