| +1 Fake Virus Call Called and told me I had a computer virus. He said that Microsoft Windows is having problems and they need to change some settings in my computer. Wanted me to go to computer and type in a web address so he could change them. I told this person that he was full of shit and I didn\'t believe him. He then called me a F**ker and an SOB. The guy had an Indian accent and said he was out of Florida. I hung up during the cussing rampage. Scam I think? lol I searched the # on my call display... It said.. Number: (630) 572-9984 Patel Neesha. He called at 10:58 a.m., Alaska time. A search of that number showed it was out of Illinois and also led me to this site. |

Lady stated that she understood that Windows was having problems with junk files and my computer was effected. When asked what company she worked for she jumped in and said that I wouldn't have to be connected to internet to change. I stated that I had not been having problems. I knew it was a scam because she wouldn't give information that licensed businesses would introduce to customer before any work or conversation would take place. When I asked where she got my telephone number she said when I bought my computer and set up took place, that I registered the number but I did not because I didn't have a land line phone when I purchased my computer, I had an aircard with Verizon. When I asked what she wanted to change and where I should go on my computer for change, she hung up. Be careful who you give out information to and before changing anything check with your local internet provider.
Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell.
And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can.
So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we
