Obveriously, this is a scam. Here are all the emails received from her:

I initially received a suspicious looking text message from this person in response to an ad I had placed while looking for a housemate. They were requesting that I email them on transist@gmail.com to either tell them about myself or ask them anything regarding moving in. The layout of the text looked a little off to me so I ignored it at first. I received the exact same message again two days later and thought that I may as well email this person. I had already Googled the email address and nothing came up.
I received an email response that briefly explained that she was from Melbourne and was working in Canada as a Coast Guard Agency employee. The email contained an attachment that had a scanned Passport ID, a Medicare receipt and an Australia Post receipt for a certified copy of these documents for a lady named Tran Thi Kim Hoang. They were very persistent that I tell them how much I would like them to pay as they can start to pay rent immediately.
I told them that I would like to meet them before I agree to anything and that maybe we should pick this up once "she" is back in Australia. To this email, I received another response that was totally devoid of any reference to what I had just asked. This time they were asking for me to give them my PayPal email address so that they can pay now. They also asked for my home address so that they could organise for the movers to gather a cost of how much it would be to move "Kim's" belongings over.
I reminded "Kim" that we wanted to meet her before we go any further to which I received another response pushing for me to send my PayPal address as they needed to get the payment done. They stressed that it was important so that they can show their employers the payment receipt as proof as they were paying for the "fee".
It was at this point that I thought that it had to be a scam, I also noticed that the emails were coming from a different address to that which I had originally contacted. I googled this other email address (kellyramn@gmail.com) and found numerous warnings that this was a scam and even found that others had received the exact same text and initial email as I had.
I have since ceased contact with them after a "thanks, but no thanks" email.
