| +1 Scam email I advertised an item on Let Go. Lady emailed me saying she wanted to buy it and would send me a cheque for a larger amount which would include the movers fee. A third party, Timothy Johnson, sent an email with a cashiers cheque for $1000 more than my item cost. I didn’t cash it as it told me to log into my bank account etc. I knew it was a scam. The lady is Lisa Goyzman and her email is lisagoyzman@gmail.com. I reported it and sent an email to RBC telling them the cashiers cheque looked to be from them. |

Thanks to this website and the first report, I did not continue a transaction with "Lisa Goyzman". Almost identical situation as first reported, though the name on Let Go, which is where I was first contacted, was "Theo" from Toronto and no other info attached to the Let Go profile other than the account was NOT verified. Most others users have a least one point of verification on their profile.
I have now insisted on cash only upon pickup for my item in my latest email to them and suggested that cheques, including cashier cheques, can be a part of a scam. I suggested that they must have heard about these type of scams before! Haha. Awaiting to see if "Lisa" or "Theo" respond.
Sidenote, my item is priced over $1200 so I imagine that others with higher priced items may be contacted specifically.
