Gumtree |  +1 Trying to get bank/paypal details when advertising a car for sale This was the email exchange between this scammer Michael Seay and myself regarding a car for sale on Gumtree.

Thanks for mailing back, I\'m ok with the price and the condition i work on a rig as a mechanical engineer i would have love to call but We do not have access to phone at the moment that\'s why I contacted you with internet messaging facility,I\'m buying it for my vacation
Regarding the payment,i will be paying you through PayPal,please get back to me with your paypal details so i can process the payment,OR you can alternatively send your bsb and account number if you have no PayPal acct.I have also contacted my courier who will come for pick up and deliver it to my place in Darwin after the whole fund has been cleared into your acct.

Similar to above, I received a text in response to my car ad on carsales.com.au. When I replied with more information via the email mcraig335@gmail.com I received the following within minutes:
Thanks for getting back,i'm cool with the price likewise the condition as described on the advert,i work with New Zealand Oil and Gas (NZOG) and we are presently offshore in New Zealand Taranaki Basin on kupe project.We do not have access to phone at the momement and that's why I contacted you with internet messaging facility.Regarding the payment,i will be paying you through PayPal linked up with my ANZ bank account,please get back to me with your paypal details so i can process the payment,you can alternatively send your bsb acct name and number if you have no PayPal acct.I have also contacted my courier who will come for pick up and deliver it to my place in Darwin after the whole fund has been cleared into your acct.
