I would have loved to call you directly but due to the nature of my work we do not have access to phone at the moment, which is why I contacted you with internet messaging facility. i will like to know if you are the direct seller and if you are the first owner. I am buying the item for my first son who just graduated on top of his class at Charles Darwin University in NT ,He studied Building Design & Architecture. I want it to be the perfect graduation gift for him and am making it a surprise package ,Does it have any history I should be aware of? and why are you selling if you don't mind my asking. I don't mind adding an extra $200.00 for you just to take down the posting..I am already in talks with freighters that will handle the pickup and delivery .I will really appreciate if you can email more info Due to the nature of my work i am a very busy man working all day, am a (Operating Manager) am presently on-board, i don't have access to my bank account online as am not with my credit card details here but i have my ANZ bank account link up with my PayPal account so I will be paying you through PayPal to your nominated bank account or better still is if you have a PayPal account ,please get back to me with your BSB and account details or PayPal account so i can proceed with the payment and contact the courier agent who will come to pick it up and deliver it in NT for my son .Await your reply"

Hi people, so same conversation as above, he asks you to email him online. "Thanks for the response,I would have loved to call you directly but due to the nature i work with the The Australian Army Corps. we do not have access to phone at the moment, which is why I contacted you with internet messaging facility.

After he done with this bullshit, he doesn't sound legit at all, but I gone to play with him a bit more in depth. So what happens afterwards, he demands you to give him your bank details so supposedly you will he will pay. Don't worry, by paying your bank detail only, he won't scam you. Then he keep demanding you like a thirsty dog in a desert seeking for water to remove your ad from gumtree. Which i responded "once i realized the transaction went smoothly, will do so!" wanted to say bitch but didn't :).
Then he will reply "About To Make The Payment....
I need to inform you about this,I just received an email from my pick up agent headquarter in China...Am most sure i did not include that in my previous email,And they said they won't be coming to pick up unless i pay the agent commission fee first in order to be able to schedule a pick up time.I am a Operating Manger as my position here,I am so busy and can not pay the agent fees from here as they Requested that i pay them with Western Union So what i will do here is that i will send the payment in the total amount of $10,000.00 AUD. So once you receive the confirmation of the payment from PayPal,you will deduct the promised amount for the item which is $8,400.00 AUD and the remaining $1,500.00 AUD will be send down to my agent By Western Union.the extra $100 is main for the western union charges..i will like to have you number so i can text you when am done with the payment." So technically the scam worths them 1500$. The paypal invoice is fake, 10k money is fake and they will tell you it takes time to get deposited in your account and meanwhile would you please from 10k pay 1500 to agent's company and blah blah. Which means you need to pay 1500 from YOUR BANK ACCOUNT and then wait till 10k is being released to your account. 10K will never be released, and you won't be never ever able to reach that Chinese bastard ever again. So it will be you and your lost 1500$.

I'm unsure of how stupid he thinks people are but my answer to this email was gold. It went a little something like this:
James, seriously there is no way in hell I am emailing you any account details of mine!
I don't trust you don't know who you are, you haven't even answered any of my questions in regards to who you may be or anything about the roadworthy and stuff.
Not liking how this is looking, all you seem to keep asking for is my account details. No one hasn't got access to a phone all day and night and I have jet to meet someone who leaves home without a credit card. So sorry but this isn't working for me.
I mean no offence and you must understand in this day and age one must be very careful! So if you really want my car please answer the few questions about who you are and then tonight after work you can call me and I will organise a payment method which suits me.
Thank you
Curious as to what the response to this shall be
