Gumtree |  +1 Wanted courier fee paid in advance on supposed furniture purchase This character responded to an advertisement that I placed with Gumtree (Queensland, Australia) for the sale of 8 x timber outdoor dining chairs for $280. His pitch was similar to other examples quoted to you (working for NZOG in Taranaki area, 20 days on and 5 days off, no phone connection etc). He then said his courier need to be paid $500 in advance and he needed my help. But first he would pay the full amount of $780 and after I paid the courier via Western Union, the courier would collect the chairs.
I have sent a "response".

This scammer under the name of ‘Kathy smith’ inialy sent a text message asking if the goods are for sale and to reply to their email not via text. I replied to the email and they proceeded to send an email saying they areaway at sea at the moment, and with New Zealand Oil and Gas (NZOG) and we are presently offshore in New Zealand Taranaki Basin on kapo number if you have no paypal acct.I have also contacted my courier who will come for pick up after the whole fund has been cleared into your acct...
Then once I sent my email address they wrote this following email... “ Thanks for the payment details and am happy to proceed with the payment, however i just got a confirmation mail from the shipping
agent now that i will need to pay for the freighting fees before they
can schedule pre-shipping/ pickup date,they charged $950 for the
pick up and delivery, but the problem is they only accept Moneygram
money transfer as form of payment which is sent to their HQ in the
USA.
I need a credit card to personally take care of that but I didn't
bring it along as I am currently on duty and had thought there would
be no need for bringing it along.
As you are well aware of, due to the nature of my work am away and do
not have access to Moneygram, most seven eleven outlet or store have
Moneygram section, will it be ok with you if I add the $950 to the
amount I am transferring? and you can help me make the Moneygram
transfer of the freighting fees through Moneygram money transfer?
You are not obliged to help me, but i will indeed appreciate
your help as I am a little incapacitated here“

I am buying it for my for my holiday and i want it delivered before my arrival.I won't be able to come for the inspection due to the nature of my work and i would have called but our calling is restricted.Regarding the payment,pls get back to me with your final asking price and your paypal details so i can process the payment,you can alternatively send your bsb and acct number if you have no paypal acct.I have also contacted my courier who will come for pick up after the whole fund has been cleared into your acct.
